A six half-hour cbc series about fictional women in history in now in production in Toronto.

In each episode,The Broad Side takes place in a different era, using an ensemble cast of four – Diane Flacks (Kids in the Hall), Susan Coyne (The Rez), Kathryn Greenwood (Wind at My Back) and Erin McMurtry (Fresh Kill). Wendel Meldrum will be a featured guest in three episodes.

The show’s executive producer Jane Ford, who produced, wrote and directed Material World and Behind the Scenes, co-wrote The Broad Side with Flacks.

The remaining tapings will take place on July 24, 29 and 31 at 7 p.m. at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in downtown Toronto.
