The poaching continues at CBC News, which has hired blogger Kady O’Malley away from Maclean’s. The longtime political writer — seen in The Hill Times, the Ottawa Citizen and Canadian Business — has joined the Ceeb’s team in Ottawa. She will blog and contribute to other platforms in the news division, says the network.
News boss Jennifer McGuire welcomed O’Malley with praise for her ‘loyal following for her unabashed coverage’ of federal politics. She joins Evan Solomon, Kevin O’Leary, Amanda Lang and other recently hired or shuffled reporters who have joined the CBC amid the restructuring of its news division, the results of which will be unveiled later this month.
