Emporte-moi opens 17th Rendez-vous

Lea Pool’s sixth feature Emporte-moi, a coproduction with France and Switzerland, is the Feb. 11 opening night film for this year’s Rendez-vous du cinema quebecois, the annual film and video production retrospective.

A coming-of-age story about a young teen girl set in the early 1960s, Emporte-moi is produced by Cite-Amerique, distributed by France Film and coscripted by Pool and award-winning ex-pat novelist Nancy Huston.

Following its Montreal screenings, Feb. 11-17, the Rendez-vous program (www.coproductions.com.rendez-vous/) moves on to Quebec City, Feb. 23-28; Winnipeg, Feb. 26-28; Vancouver, March 2-7 and Hull, March 10-12.
