Vancouver: On May 8 in Vancouver, the first wave of 33 Leo Awards was handed out in the broadcast news and technical categories. Multiple winners included the information tv series Cosmic Highway, which won three Leos for an episode called ‘Zero Hour,’ and the feature Rupert’s Land, which also won a hat-trick of Leos.

Global news anchors won two Leos, while nature series Champions of the Wild, documentary Baboon Tales and short dramas Revisited and Grave Decisions also won two.
