LOS ANGELES — From the trade floor of the recent HD Expo, Barry Russo of Panasonic Broadcast shows off an HPX3700, ‘tricked-out’ with add-ons including an LCOA viewfinder, a 900a monitor and an S.two OB-1 Uncompressed Digital Recorder.

‘No moving parts — this is very solid, very durable,’ he says of the S.two, noting that director David Fincher ‘is big on S.two.’

The 1080 unit also comes with five slots, ‘so you can literally record a full concert, for hours on end, without reloading,’ he notes.
