Alliance Atlantis’ AAC Kids Television Distribution division has acquired the animated series Old Tom. aac now holds the merchandising and distribution rights for markets worldwide, with the exceptions of Australia, France, New Zealand, Germany, French-speaking Africa, Benelux, Eastern Europe and India.

The 26-episode, half-hour series, coproduced by Australia’s Yoram Gross-em.tv and France’s Millimages, is set to air on the Australian Broadcasting Corp. and France’s TFI beginning in mid-2001.

Created by Australian cartoonist Leigh Hobbs, Old Tom is a mischievous cat belonging to a very posh and proper lady, Angela Throgmorton, and the series follows the pair’s adventures.
