Tracey Wood has crossed over to the AMPTP and, starting in the new year, will represent Canadian affiliates of the U.S. producers group in labor and government negotiations.
Wood starts in January as VP of Canadian affiliates with the group, ending her tenure as the CFTPA’s chief labor negotiator in B.C. Wood was in the news last month upon the drafting of a new contract with the Union of B.C. Performers, and was a key figure in that province’s stalled talks of 2006/07. Wood has also been across the bargaining table from the Directors Guild of Canada in B.C. and the B.C. Council of Film Unions.
‘Tracey’s deep relations with the B.C. production community and her negotiating experience with our bargaining partners will be of great value in maintaining this important production center,’ said newly named AMPTP president Carol Lombardini in a statement.
Wood has been with CFTPA’s western wing since 2005. She replaces the retiring Don Cott.
