Women in Film and Television-Toronto says former prime minister Kim Campbell will host the 2000 WIFT-T Crystal Awards.
The awards, which honor outstanding contributions of women and men in the media and entertainment industries, will be held April 17 at Toronto’s Famous Players Paramount Theatre.
This year’s award recipients include: Phyllis Yaffe (president, Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting) for Lifetime Achievement; Susanne Boyce (senior vp, programming ctv and The Comedy Network) for Excellence in Training or Professional Development; and actor Wendy Crewson (At the End of the Day: The Sue Rodriguez Story, Air Force One, What Lies Beneath) for Creative Excellence.
Christina Ford (owner/president, Imported Artists Film Company and partner/president, Clarence Square Pictures) and Jane Tattersall (president, Tattersall Sound) will receive awards for Excellence in Production.
Paul Gratton (vp/gm, Space: The Imagination Station; station manager, Bravo!) is this year’s recipient of the Friend of WIFT-T Award.
