Montreal: Telefilm Canada’s Quebec operations office has announced a series of funding deadlines covering feature films and television, both development and production, program versioning and international marketing assistance, Canadian distribution, and new media.

* For the Feature Film Fund, the initial filing period for both French- and English-track development projects is between March 20 and May 1. The second filing period opens July 3.

The deadline for new French production is May 1, May 29 in the case of applications under appeal. Decisions will be announced June 30, or a week or two later, depending on volume.

The deadline for English-language production was March 13, with decisions starting May 5.

* The submission period for Regular Fund support (post-production of short, medium and full-length feature films up to a maximum of $25,000) opens July 3.

* Applications for the Versioning Assistance Fund (features and tv) will be accepted as of April 1.

* Telefilm says submission deadlines for the international component of Canadian production marketing funds remain undetermined as guidelines are under review.

* Applications for the Multimedia Fund for development, production and marketing may be filed as of May 1.

* Applications for Canadian Television Fund/Equity Investment Program (tv development) may be filed as of April 1, with decisions beginning June 1.

* In the distribution sector, applications for principal, contingency and national marketing assistance may be filed starting April 1.
