Public hearings for the 463 digital pay and specialty applications will begin Aug. 14 in Hull, Que.

Because of the volume of applications, the crtc has categorized them by ownership group, as opposed to genre – a difficult task considering that many of the applications are joint ventures.

Interested parties will have 25 days prior to the hearings to comment on the applications.
