Lone Eagle options U.K. family game-show format

The Toronto prodco behind You Gotta Eat Here! will shop the series, which has parents guessing how their child will make decisions, in Canada.

Lone Eagle Entertainment has inked a format-option deal with London, U.K.-based prodco Twofour Rights for the TV property What Would Your Kid Do?

Under the terms of the agreement, Lone Eagle will develop and sell the format in Canada.

In the U.K., the hour-long show airs on ITV. It is produced by Cardiff, Wales-based Boomerang, which is part of the Twofour Group. According to a press release, the show reached more than 3.7 million viewers in the U.K. during its first season.

The show sees unassuming children being filmed as they go about a normal school day, while, unbeknownst to them, their parents are watching. The parents are then challenged to guess how their children will behave in a variety of situations.

Lone Eagle’s production credits include You Gotta Eat Here!, which ran for five seasons on Food Network Canada, and Too Much Information for Super Channel.
