Montreal: TVA Group president and ceo Daniel Lamarre has announced a major reorganization, specifically related to the media company’s international activities.
TVA International president Andre Provencher has been named first group vp responsible for developing multi-platform content and financing and strategic partnerships. Provencher recently managed tva’s $125-million buyout of Motion International.
In a bit of a surprise move, Lamarre has named Pierre Lampron as Provencher’s replacement and TVA International’s new president. A former president of Quebec funding agency sodec, Lampron was president of TV5 Quebec-Canada, responsible for all TV5 operations in the Americas.
‘There is only one group in Canada that could have convinced me to leave my current duties and that is tva,’ says Lampron. ‘I believe I have associated myself with one of the rare Canadian groups with the potential to become a major international player.’ Lampron joins tva Aug. 1.
TVA.B is a TSE 300 company.
