Vancouver: Rainmaker Digital Pictures, a division of Rainmaker Entertainment of Vancouver, has introduced a new Digital Design Internship for aspiring visual effects artists. The program is sponsored in part by the National Research Council.

‘We designed a co-op style program tailored very specifically to our production cycle and our business needs, a program that would give Rainmaker a first look at the best and brightest new talent coming out of the local schools and would also provide a meaningful learning experience for the artist,’ says Tracey Friesen, Rainmaker’s director of industry relations.

The program will offer students and recent post-secondary and film school graduates an intensive month-long work placement in Rainmaker’s art department, where tasks will range from website development to visual effects production and animation assistance. *
