The contributions of top black Canadian and foreign film, television and video professionals will be honored at The Black Film and Video Network’s 12th annual Reel Black Awards, Sept. 9 at the Design Exchange in Toronto.
The fundraising event, which expects to attract more than 600 guests, will be hosted by broadcast journalist Donna Holgate and cbc journalist Hamelin Grange.
The ceremony will honor director/producer Norman Jewison and actor Yaphet Kotto (Alien) for their career-long contributions to positive black images on the screen.
