Montreal: Industry exhibition and distribution consultant Alex Film has launched a website service featuring up-to-date, biweekly box-office reports from 700 screens across Quebec. President Carole Boudreault says efforts are underway to create an identical online service for the English-Canadian theatrical market.

Alexfilms.com includes twice-weekly, subscriber-only box-office reports, along with a slew of non-charge features including a current top 10 box-office listing; a cine-news section reporting current and upcoming distributor releases; hyperlinks to movie press reviews; an all-time top-grossing feature; information on the upcoming weekend release slate; a complete repertory listing of existing theatrical venues; and an industry who’s who, which is still being compiled.
