Look Communications has added CP24, Talktv and VCC Adult Channel to its digital broadcast tv service in Ontario.

CP24 is included as part of the basic service, the long-time-coming Talktv is being offered as a specialty channel and the VCC Adult Channel is being offered on a pay-per-view basis.

The Look service model, which allows customers to customize their specialty package channel by channel, mirrors the pick-and-pay model the Canadian Cable and Television Association is currently recommending to the crtc in its latest round of pay and specialty licensing. In fact, the Look model may ultimately force cablers to offer a pick-and-pay option because, as ccta president Janet Yale has said, ‘Customers know the technology is available.’ *
