Montreal: Telefilm Canada’s Vancouver office is offering for the second consecutive year financial support for Western Canadian producers selected to attend the 8th annual International Film Financing Conference, to be held Jan. 12-14, 2001 in San Francisco.

Tuition reimbursement and compensation for some travel and accommodation costs will be provided through Telefilm’s Industry and Professional Development Fund, which supports training initiatives targeted to mid-career ‘above the line’ professionals.

IFFCON, North America’s premier film financing forum, links u.s. and Canadian independent producers with international financiers, buyers, commissioning editors and coproducers during a weekend of roundtables, private meetings and receptions.

A maximum of 60 feature film producers are chosen to attend the conference by a selection advisory committee.

The deadline for applications is Oct. 13. *
