montreal: Broadcaster Radio-Canada and daily newspaper La Presse, a part of the Power Corp. group of companies, have signed a partnership agreement which will see the two media organizations share sponsorships and planning for special events, selected national and international news and polling information, as well as projects destined for the Internet.

The agreement, announced by Michele Fortin, src’s vp of French television, and Guy Crevier, La Presse’s president and publisher, is non-exclusive and not expected to raise issues of editorial independence.

Quebecor, which has filed with the crtc to buy Videotron and broadcaster Groupe tva, publishes Quebec’s largest-circulation daily, Le Journal de Montreal. * Leo Rice-Barker
