Toronto’s Command Post and Transfer has completed its transaction with Netstar Enterprise’s Dome Productions, acquiring the assets of Dome’s audio and visual post-production business DAVE, also based in Toronto.

The company purchased DAVE’s assets in exchange for the issuance of 5,837,217 common shares of Command Post, valued at more than $17.5 million. This amounts to approximately 29.57% of the outstanding common shares of Command Post.

Command Post/TOYBOX, a 15-year-old post-production facility, has offices in Toronto and Vancouver (Command Post/TOYBOX West). It employs approximately 130 to DAVE’s 70-plus staffers. The two post houses had been competing for commercial, series, MOW and feature film effects and post work, and Command Post’s growth in the marketplace will present a big challenge to the company’s local competitors. *
