Brandy Kopp has been cast in the upcoming feature The Riot, putting the Vancouver actress alongside Shawn Roberts (X-Men, Jumper) and David Anders (24).

The picture, now in prep, and will see Winnipeg play an American city torn apart by vicious gangs and economic depression, and follows a group of friends struggling to stay alive amid the turmoil.

Nicholas Gyeney of Seattle-based Mirror Images (The Penitent Man) directs.

Kopp is represented by Trina Allen at Play Management in Vancouver and by Dede Binder-Goldsmith and Kim Dorr at Defining Artists in Los Angeles. She is also due to appear in the forthcoming TV movie Goblin, shot recently in B.C. by Reel One Pictures for Syfy. Her previous credits include Supernatural and jPod.

Roberts is represented by The Gersh Agency and The Characters Talent Agency in Toronto.
