PTV Productions has sent a camera crew to Haiti, shooting a three-part doc about relief efforts amid the devastation of this week’s earthquake. Inside Disaster, to air on TVO and Canal D, will follow Red Cross and Red Crescent workers as they assess the damage and re-establish healthcare, shelter and food supplies on the small island nation.

Nadine Pequeneza (Aristide’s Haiti) directs and coproduces.

‘The goal of the documentary is to capture both the urgency and complexity of that work,’ said producer Andrea Nemtin (Passage) in a statement. ‘We hope the film and website can be a resource for the community as we try to get a sense of what’s happening on the ground.’

The crew’s 30-day stay in Haiti will also be documented as it happens at insidedisaster.com.
