The Baroness Von Sketch Show prodco has promoted Courtney Hicks to the role.

Frantic Films has promoted senior development producer Courtney Hicks to VP of factual development.

In the new role, Hicks will manage all unscripted development for the North American market. She started in the position on Jan. 19 and reports directly to the company’s CEO, Jamie Brown. Hicks is based in Frantic’s Toronto office.

Hicks replaces Bernard Periatambee who moved to Cineflix Media earlier this month to oversee its development of unscripted content for the North American market.

Hicks has worked with Frantic since 2010, first serving as a production assistant on the final season of Til Debt Do Us Part and the spin-off series, Princess. In 2012, she was promoted to a development researcher and production manager with the company’s factual development department. She was named senior development producer in January 2016.

Hicks’ credits include the CSA-nominated Baroness Von Sketch Show and Buy It, Fix It, Sell It, among others.
