Degrassi: The Next Generation

Ten years after the last episode of Degrassi first aired, producer Lynda Schuyler and story editor Yan Moore of Epitome Pictures decided the time was ripe to adapt the world-renowned franchise to the 21st century.

Launched on CTV in October 2001, the $10-million Degrassi: The Next Generation, which like its predecessor, tackles teen issues from a teen perspective, is a polished and modernized version that offers viewers an integrated media experience with its innovative companion website, developed by Snap Media.
