Breakthrough grabs worldwide rights to Manson doc

Produced by Calgary's Pyramid Productions, Charles Manson: The Final Words recently premiered on Reelz Channel in the U.S.

james buddy dayToronto’s Breakthrough Entertainment has picked up worldwide distribution rights, excluding the U.S., to Charles Manson: The Final Words.

The two-hour documentary, produced by Calgary’s Pyramid Productions, debuted on U.S. net Reelz on Dec. 3, following Manson’s death in November.

The film, narrated by musician Rob Zombie, focuses on the Manson family murders of 1969 from Charles Manson’s perspective, and features the final recorded interview given by the cult leader and mass murderer.

Charles Manson: The Final Worlds is written and directed by Pyramid exec producer James Buddy Day (pictured). Kirstie McLellan-Day and Larry Day exec produced the project. It filmed in Calgary, California and New York in the spring and summer of 2017. 

It recently won the 2017 audience award at Utah’s Red Rock Film Festival and best dramatic documentary at Atlanta Docufest.
