* Recently hired 18-year industry veteran James Keegan has been appointed to the new position of chief administrative officer for Lions Gate Entertainment.

The company has re-signed Lions Gate Films Releasing president Tom Ortenberg, Lions Gate Films president of production Michael Paseornek and Lions Gate Home Entertainment and Acquisitions president Peter Block to new multiyear deals.

* Marie-Claude Poulin has been appointed senior VP, TVA Films. Poulin was international VP of Les Films Lions Gate and VP production at Melenny Productions.

* Susanne Vaas has been appointed director of production financing and business affairs at the CFTPA’s Ottawa office. Vaas is the former head of legal and business affairs at Canadian Heritage’s CAVCO.

Julia Keatley, president of Keatley Films, has been named the CFTPA’s new chair.

New to the board for one-year terms are: Jamie Brown, Frantic Films; John Delmage, Decode Entertainment; Paul Pope, Pope Productions; Lisa Richardson, Dogwood Pictures; Mary Young Leckie, Tapestry Pictures; and Michael Volpe, Topsail Entertainment.

* Vancouver’s Prophecy Entertainment restructured its board of directors. John Curtis, David Mackenzie and Robin Hart have replaced recently resigned Melanie Kilgour, Peter Tsaparas and Evan Tylor.

* The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network board of directors has exercised its option to conclude the employment agreement with COO Ron Nadeau, effective immediately. There is no immediate plan to replace Nadeau, who was with the network for two years.
