Corus Studios
Corus Studios has unveiled a raft of international sales for a number of its lifestyle series, including Backyard Builds, Home to Win and Masters of Flip. Australia’s Nine Entertainment and South Africa’s One Africa acquired Backyard Builds (8 x 30 minutes), while Home to Win sold to Foxtel (Australia), One Africa and Quebecor Content’s CASA channel. Netflix meanwhile acquired the SVOD rights to Cheer Squad for multiple territories, including the U.K. and Latin America. Masters of Flip, which has now been sold into 148 territories according to Corus, was sold to Israel’s Talit Communications, which acquired the first two seasons of the show, as well as two specials. There were also sales for the docuseries My Baby’s Having a Baby (10 x 60 minutes), which was picked up by MTV Finland and NBC Universal International Networks’ Style Network in Australia. Elsewhere, Save My Reno (14 x 30 minutes) sold to Nine Entertainment (Australia), Digicast RCS MediaGroup’s Dove Channel in (Italy), The Home Channel (South Africa) and Talit Communications (Israel).
Blue Ant
Blue Ant International has signed on to exclusively represent two new series from Toronto’s Architect Films in international markets. The lifestyle shows, Birthday Cake Battle and Lakefront Luxury (both 10 x 30 minute series, both working titles) are created for Blue Ant brands Makeful and Cottage Life, respectively. In addition, Blue Ant will represent Architect’s catalogue, which contains more than 135 hours of content. Among the library is the first two seasons of competition series Sugar Showdown (34 x 30 minutes) and outdoor renovation show Decked Out (50 x 30 minutes).
ole
Music publishing and rights management company ole has inked a deal with Corus Entertainment to become a provider of production music for all third-party and in-house productions commissioned by Corus Television and Radio. Under the agreement, Corus will be supplied with more than 750,000 tracks through the Jingle Punks, 5 Alarm and Cavendish libraries.
Shaftesbury
U.S. channel Ovation has acquired the rights to season 11 (18 x 60 minutes) of Murdoch Mysteries (known in the U.S. as The Artful Detective). The Shaftesbury series, produced in association with CBC, ITV Studios Global Entertainment and UKTV, will premiere in January 2018 on Ovation TV and will also be available on Ovation NOW and VOD.
Attraction Distribution
U.K.-based SVOD service Walter Presents has acquired the streaming rights to the Flemish crime series Code 37 (39 x 50 minutes) from Montreal’s Attraction Distribution. The deal, which covers the U.K., U.S., English-speaking Canada and Ireland, is the third struck between Attraction Distribution and Walter Presents. Code 37 stars Veerle Baetens (Broken Circle Breakdown) as a new chief inspector of the Ghent police department’s all-male vice squad.

eOne has inked a deal with Bron Studios that will see eOne distributing all the music publishing assets owned by Bron. eOne has previously provided music services on Bron projects such as Monster, Drunk Parents and Henchmen.
