Montreal-headquartered Cineflix has teamed up with London, U.K.-based prodco Talesmith to produce Rediscovering T-Rex. 

Commissioned by the BBC, in association with CBC and France Télévisions (France 5), the one-hour documentary special exposes myths surrounding the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Rediscovering T-Rex is produced by Ruth Roberts and directed by Mark Everest (Torchwood, Silent Witness). Exec producers on the doc are Talesmith’s Martin Williams and Cineflix’s André Barro. Barro joined Cineflix in January with a mandate to seek out coproduction partners in the U.K. and Europe for factual content.

Cineflix Rights, the sales and distribution arm of Cineflix Media, has exclusive global rights to the doc and will shop it to buyers at MIPCOM.

The CBC version of the documentary will be presented by David Suzuki, while naturalist Chris Packham will present the BBC version. The France 5 and international versions will not have presenters.
