Following a first season in which it drew almost 850,000 views on YouTube, Vancouver-based LGBTQ channel OUTtv is taking the competition-based reality show Dragula: Search for the World’s Next Drag Supermonster to television.

OUTtv acquired the rights to the first season, which premiered as a web series on YouTube in 2016, and has commissioned a second for broadcast on its linear channel. Season one of the series gained more than 842,000 views across its six-episode first season.

Season two (10 x 60 minutes) will premiere this fall on OUTtv, OUTtvGo and OUTtv’s streaming service.

Created by the underground drag duo the Boulet Brothers, the show sees alternative, horror, punk and misfit-themed drag queens compete in a variety of challenges in a bid to win the crown of Dragula.

Dragula is produced by L.A.-based Ash & Bone Cinema.
