* Steve Wyatt has been named editor-in-chief at Global Television Network. Based in Vancouver, Wyatt will be responsible for the ‘overall news brand’ for Global Television News and drive the Global National newscast. Previously, Wyatt was GM, B.C. operations, for Global Television and news director for BCTV.

Also, veteran television anchor Peter Kent has been named deputy editor, Global Television News, and will be responsible for new program development, current affairs and news documentaries. He will also continue to co-anchor MoneyWise weekdays with Deirdre McMurdy.

* Teresa Wat has been named news director at multilingual Channel M in Vancouver (formerly Multivan Broadcasting) and will be responsible for developing news programs broadcast daily in Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi and English. With 25 years in television, radio and newspapers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Vancouver, Wat was most recently COO and GM at multilingual radio station CHMB AM in Vancouver.
