* Jeff Campbell has joined as a partner of Spin’s design and VFX team after six years as a senior inferno artist/VFX supervisor at Toybox. Campbell’s movie credits include The Cell, Fight Club and X-Men, and he has been recognized internationally for his work on spots for clients Visa, Nike, Coke, Ford and Coors.

* Vancouver’s Lost Boys Studios has hired Leon Hui as its new software and systems engineer, starting out where James Lau left off. Lau is now the research and development/VFX artist, and the two will be collaborating on future projects. Hui was previously a software engineer at Credo Interactive for two years. He has developed new media solutions, created 3D tools and was also the lead developer for a 3D dance game for a museum exhibit.

* Erin O’Neill has joined Family Channel as promotions account manager. Former director of marketing and communications of Bell Canada, O’Neill will handle promotions, co-branded content, online activities and contests.

* Angela Wilkins has been appointed to the sales and marketing department at Vancouver’s Post Modern Sound. Previously, she was a project coordinator with Rainmaker Digital Pictures.

* CFTPA VP external relations Beatrice Raffoul has joined Ottawa-based consulting firm The Strategies Group, but the association says Raffoul will maintain her working relationship with the CFTPA. The Strategies Group specializes in business-government relations, strategic counseling, issues management and public policy resolution.
