Food Network Canada has cancelled Toronto-based Lone Eagle Entertainment’s You Gotta Eat Here!
The John Catucci-hosted culinary series surpassed the 100-episode mark during its five-season run. The most recent season went to camera in May 2015 and aired on Food Network Canada in spring 2016.
Distributor Portfolio Entertainment sold the series internationally into more than 50 territories globally.
Including special episodes, the culinary series reached a total of 150 episodes since it first aired in January 2012. The show also won Canadian Screen Awards in 2014 and 2017 for best lifestyle series.
“After resonating with legions of fans, You Gotta Eat Here! has reached its natural end and has not been renewed for another season. The success this series had is a true testament to our exceptionally talented production partners, Lone Eagle Entertainment, and Corus applauds the cast, creators, producers, and writers for their dedication to this Canadian original,” said Lisa Godfrey, VP, original content, Corus Entertainment, adding that Corus will be announcing more information about upcoming renewals and new series in the coming months. Season five concluded in December 2016.
Executive producers on the series were Michael Geddes and Sheldon Teicher, alongside series producer Steven Mitchell and supervising producer Rachel Horvath.
