Fujinon, manufacturer and distributor of optics and lenses for video production, has opened a new office in Canada.

The new department, based in Aurora, ON, outside of Toronto, will handle all of the sales and marketing activities for Canada as well as provide customer support. While the U.S.-based Fujinon office has sold products to Canadian customers for many years, the Aurora facility will more easily supply equipment and resources to local clientele.

Stosh Durbacz, who previously sold production equipment for Sony of Canada, is heading up the new office as sales manager, Canada.

‘I’m excited by the challenge to break new markets for Fujinon in Canada, especially Toronto, where video production continues to be strong,’ Durbacz says.

Fujinon is owned by Japan’s Fuji Photo Optical, which in turn is owned by Fujifilm.
