International producer-distributor Blue Ant Media has secured an exclusive, multi-year production and distribution output deal with London-based indie Blink Films.

Under the two-year partnership, Blink will begin production this month in South America, Hungary, Austria and South Africa to craft seven original series – amounting to 24 hours of content – for the Love Nature 4K wildlife SVOD service, Blue Ant’s fledgling joint venture with Smithsonian Networks.

The London-based factual indie and Missing Evidence producer has previously produced 30 hours of content for the Love Nature brand.

Blue Ant International, the sales arm of the Toronto-based company, will offer the seven series as part of its 4K wildlife and nature catalogue to global buyers by 2019.

“This exclusive output deal is an extension of our ongoing relationship with Blink Films to create premium programming for Blue Ant Media’s factual channels,” said Vanessa Case, EVP of content at Blue Ant Media, in a statement.
