Teletoon preps The Bagel and Becky Show

The Radical Sheep-produced series is represented internationally by BBC Worldwide.

Teletoon has set Feb. 6 for the premiere of The Bagel and Becky Show, produced by Boat Rocker Media-owned animation prodco Radical Sheep Productions.

The comedy series (52 x 11 minutes), about a pair of mismatched siblings that encounter strange situations as they explore their neighbourhood, will air at 4:30 p.m. on Corus Entertainment’s Teletoon each day.

The series is based on Bagel’s Lucky Hat, a children’s book penned by Ottawa-based author Dave Cooper.

Voiced by Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall) and Nikki Payne (Last Comic Standing), the series is aimed at a six-to-11 year-old audience.

The Bagel and Becky Show is produced by Radical Sheep’s Heather Wilson and Nadine Henry, with company president Michelle Melanson Cuperus executive producing alongside John Leitch. Showrunners and co-executive producers on the series are Doug Hadders and Adam Rotstein.

Animation services on the project were handled by Jam Filled Entertainment, which Boat Rocker acquired in August 2016.

Outside of Canada, BBC Worldwide holds the rights to the series across all platforms.
