Music journalist Nardwuar the Human Serviette and fellow oddball Kayvon ‘The Superfan’ Zahedi have joined Aux, coming on board as the upstart music channel debuts its winter lineup.
The 10 x 30 KayvonTV will feature the motor-mouthed Zahedi interviewing his music idols, while the noted indie rock reporter will cover stories for the news roundup Aux Weekly.
Nardwuar, a Vancouver native and frequent contributor to Chart magazine, is perhaps better known to TV audiences for his guerrilla-style, goofball interviews on MuchMusic.
KayvonTV sprang from the Toronto resident’s website, where many of his celebrity interview clips can be found, which gained him Internet notoriety. Interspersed with music videos, the series will feature encounters with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing and Wu-Tang founder The RZA.
The channel’s winter lineup also includes the artist profiler Aux Plugged In, the ‘fan-controlled’ video series Aux All Request and the review show Something New. It debuts March 1.
