Montreal-based producer and distributor Media Ranch has appointed Christos Sourligas as SVP of business development and distribution.

Sourligas joins Media Ranch from Dakota Pictures, where he was VP of distribution. Sourligas has also previously worked at FarMore Distribution as VP of sales and Just For Laughs as VP of distribution.

Sourligas will join Media Ranch at MIPCOM, where the company will shop new projects, including a scripted series based on U.S. metal band Steel Panther. Media Ranch inked a linear TV and digital deal with the band earlier this month.

In December of last year, Media Ranch won a Rose d’Or Award for its unscripted series Street Jungle, which was produced for Bell Media’s Canal D.
