Telus has distributed $3.2 million across 61 projects in Western Canada through its local programming fund.

Among the projects supported in the latest round of funding are Raven’s Adventures, a hybrid animated/live action series produced by Edmonton’s Groove Soldier Productions, and Knobb’s End, a series from Vancouver’s Oddfellows Labs.

In addition, filmmaker Trish Neufeld’s project Cumberland: It Takes A Forest, which tells the story of a former coal mining village on Vancouver Island, also received funding.

Since the Telus Fund launched in 2013, it has funded more than 160 projects. The fund this year introduced new sponsors, with Vancouver International Film Festival and Red Bull Media House joining the fund’s returning partners Whistler Blackcomb, Air Canada enRoute Film Festival, PuSh International Performing Arts Festival and the Vancouver Public Library Foundation.
