Blue Ant International has acquired 200 hours of content from CMJ Productions II, as well as inked a multi-year production and distribution agreement with the Montreal-based factual-entertainment producer.
Under the deal, CMJ will produce 39 hours of unscripted content annually for Blue Ant’s T+E, Smithsonian Channel Canada and Cottage Life channels. The newly created content will focus on factual entertainment and documentary dramas.
Fatal Vows (62 x 60 minutes), a series that explores high-stake divorces and murders linked to them, and docuseries A Stranger In My Home (26 x 60 minutes) are among the series previously produced by CMJ.
Blue Ant International, the global distribution arm of Blue Ant Media, will open sales on the acquired content at this year’s MIPCOM.
Among the other titles on Blue Ant’s factual slate are Airport: Below Zero (10 x 60 minutes), produced by Our House Media, and the General Purpose Entertainment-produced series Post My Party (13 x 30 minutes).
