Titanic schooling

Vancouver – Production on Class of the Titans – Vancouver-based Studio B Productions’ coproduction with Toronto’s Nelvana for Teletoon – begins Jan. 31 and runs through Nov. 25 in Vancouver.

The 26 x 22 series for eight- to 12-year-olds is about a group of teenagers brought together at Olympus High to save the world because they are descendents of mythology’s heroes including Jason, Achilles, Theseus, Atalanta, Odysseus, Hercules and Narcissus.

The series, directed by Brad Goodchild, is scheduled to debut this year.

‘Class of the Titans marks the first in-house production in the action/ comedy vein,’ says Chris Bartleman, a partner at Studio B. ‘It is our hope to create a show that kids will want to talk about at school.’

Nelvana has worldwide distribution rights, excluding Canada, the U.S., Spain, Andorra and Portugal, which are controlled by Studio B. Ian Edwards
