Greene up for Indie

Toronto director of photography David Greene (Siblings) has been nominated for a 2005 Independent Spirit Award for best cinematography. Greene got the nod for his work on the Toronto-shot FX Networks cable movie Redemption, starring Jamie Foxx, who received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

Greene will be vying for the award against Tim Orr (Dandelion), Eric Gautier (The Motorcycle Diaries), Ryan Little (Saints and Soldiers) and Maryse Alberti (We Don’t Live Here Anymore).

Greene says he plans to attend the awards ceremony, slated for Feb. 26 in Santa Monica, CA. U.S.-based independent filmmakers group IFP presents the prizes.
