New Saskatoon doc shop starts with drama
Saskatoon – In the future, new prodco Juxtapose will focus on documentary programming, but for now the Saskatoon company is concentrating on its first project, the half-hour drama Move Closer from writer/director Diana Tegankamp.
Sandra Panko produces, with Elizabeth Yake, founder of Vancouver’s True West Films, executive producing. L.A.-based story editor John Frizzell (Dance Me Outside) is also on board. DOP is Paul Suderman (Dracula: Pages from a Virgin’s Diary).
Cast includes Christine MacInnis, Rob Roy and Stephen Huszar.
Move Closer is being produced with financing from SaskFilm and the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
Juxtapose president Dennis Harpchak launched the new company less than a year ago and is in development on Score, a $200,000 one-hour doc for CBC coproduced with Saskatoon-based Angel Entertainment. Tom Hale directs, with Panko producing and Harpchak executive producing. Laura Bracken
