* Hollywood veteran Fred Fuchs is now EVP at Peace Arch Entertainment, responsible for all TV drama and digital properties and for increasing feature film production and sales. Fuchs (Dark Angel, The Godfather Part 3) worked at Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope for 12 years but recently relocated to Toronto.
* Emma Petry has been named head of European development and international coproduction at Nelvana, moving over from international sales, while Lynn Chadwick is set to become VP of European sales and distribution. Both moves take effect Sept. 1.
* Cookie Jar Entertainment has appointed Kenneth Locker as SVP of digital media, a new position overseeing the company’s Internet, wireless, and other IT operations. Locker held a similar post at U.S. cabler Comedy Central.
* Michèle Laroche is the new director of theatrical distribution at Equinoxe Films, coming over from Christal Films. Also, Marie-Claude Poulin has left TVA Films to assist Equinoxe SVP and COO Michael Mosca on acquisitions and development of theatrical projects in Quebec.
* Dave Forget is now regional director for Ontario and Nunavut at Telefilm Canada and Gordon Whittaker now heads Atlantic Canada. John Galway has also moved up to head of English television operations.
* Rob Egan is leaving the top spot at British Columbia Film to be senior manager, business and planning, at CBC, working under B.C.’s regional director Rae Hull.
* Elizabeth Duffy-MacLean is now VP, public and regulatory affairs at Alliance Atlantis, replacing Rita Cugini, who left for the CRTC. Also at AAC, Chris Fuoco has been promoted to VP of affiliate marketing.
* Annie Roberge is the new director of relationship marketing at Montreal distributor Imavision.
* Toronto 1 has hired Don Gaudet as its new GM of programming, luring him away from the VP of specialty programming spot at Global Television.
