$2 million for Peace Arch

A trio of investors – Jeff Sagansky, Kerry McCluggage and Drew Craig – has put $2 million into Peace Arch Entertainment and taken various seats at its table.

Sagansky, the former president of Tri-Star Entertainment and programming boss at CBS, joins McCluggage, ex of Universal Television and Paramount Television, on the greenlight committee at the Toronto company, looking to steer new projects into production.

Sagansky is credited with approving such projects as Glory, Steel Magnolias and Northern Exposure, while McCluggage had a hand in Miami Vice, Law & Order and JAG, among others.

Meanwhile Craig, the former head of Craig Media, has come in from the cold to be Peace Arch’s new chairman of the board.

Within days of the news another former Craig exec, Michael Taylor, joined as president of Peace Arch Television, a new post.

Peace Arch is looking to boost its production and distribution efforts and to expand its representation of third-party TV shows. The company also hired Hollywood vet Fred Fuchs as its EVP in the spring. *
