* Toronto’s Summerhill Entertainment is shooting the one-hour one-off The Next Great Prime Minister for Global, looking to air in December. The political-themed contest will pit five young, would-be PMs against each other for a $50,000 cash prize.

* Filming on the new Martin Scorcese feature The Departed is currently underway in Boston and New York, not the long-rumored Monreal. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson.

* Season three of 1-800-Missing (19 x 60) wraps at the end of August after five months at Toronto Film Studios. The supernatural cop drama returns to CHUM’s A-Channels in September.
