Cineflix Productions is partnering with William Shatner on the new science program Weird or What?

The series will see the Star Trek and Boston Legal star investigate strange phenomena throughout the world, including the paranormal, weird animals, medical oddities, mysterious disappearances, unexplained monster attacks and bizarre natural disasters.

‘William Shatner is instantly recognizable to generations of TV fans and has established cult status in the science genre,’ said Charles Tremayne, Cineflix EVP of programming, in a release. ‘We are thrilled and proud that he has agreed to bring his talent and unique wit to our newest science programme.’

Simon Lloyd is executive producing along with Shatner and Rod Parker.

‘Our show is weird and wonderful,’ added Shatner. ‘It’s also whacky. If the mystery of the world around us interests you, then this is your adventure.’

The program is being produced for History Television in Canada and will be distributed internationally by Cineflix International. Shatner will be present for the program’s unveiling at this year’s MIPTV.
