Global sets premiere date for Private Eyes

image003 (5)Global has set the premiere date for its new investigative procedural Private Eyes, with the Jason Priestley-starrer set to bow at 9 p.m. Thursday, May 26.

The 10 x 60-minute series, produced by eOne in association with Global, follows the private investigator duo of former hockey pro Matt Shade (Priestley) and his partner Angie Everett (Cindy Sampson). C0-writers and showrunners on the series are Shelley Eriksen (ContinuumFlashpoint) and Alan McCullough (Rookie Blue, Reign).

The show, produced under the working title The Code, was shot in Toronto between October 2015 and February 2016 and is based on a novel by Canadian author G.B. Joyce.

John Morayniss, Rachel Fulford and Tecca Crosby executive produce Private Eyes, alongside Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, Shelley Eriksen, Alan McCullough, Tecca Crosby, Tassie Cameron, Kelly Makin and Priestley.

Seven directors worked on the 10-part season – Kelly Makin, Anne Wheeler, Shawn Piller, Charles Officer, Rob Lieberman, Jerry Ciccoritti and James Genn – and the show also stars Barry Flatman (Fargo), Jordyn Negri (Warehouse 13) and Clé Bennett (Rookie Blue).
