Entertainment One (eOne) and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have launched a new home entertainment joint venture in Canada.

The joint venture will handle the two companies’ direct-account home entertainment business in Canada. Upcoming titles to be released under the venture include The Hateful Eight, The Peanuts Movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.

eOne and Fox also announced Tuesday the companies have also entered a long-term home entertainment partnership deal for multiple European territories. The new partnership will see the companies work together on distributing titles in the U.K. and Benelux, and builds upon a previous home entertainment alliance the two companies had for Australia and Spain.

As part of the new partnership, Fox will manage sales and distribution services for DVD and Blu-ray on behalf of eOne for television, film and family home entertainment titles for a number of territories, including  the U.K., Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain and Australia. Fox will also head up the exclusive physical home entertainment sales and marketing activities for eOne’s Peppa Pig brand in the U.S. market.
