* Director Michael Damian and star Don Johnson have wrapped the indie feature Moondance Alexander, after shooting near Calgary.

* A second run (22 x 60) of the series Supernatural for The CW is now shooting in Vancouver, until spring.

* Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels is producing the daredevil comedy Hot Rod – a vehicle for popular SNL cast member Andy Samberg – in Vancouver for Paramount from July 24 to Sept. 22.

* Vancouver will host Revolution Studios’ family comedy Are We Done Yet? – the sequel to last year’s sleeper hit Are We There Yet? – beginning July 31. Coproducer Ice Cube and Nia Long (Big Momma’s House 2) will reprise their roles.

* Production on the Lionsgate Films romantic comedy Good Luck Chuck, starring comedian Dane Cook and Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four), began on July 17 in Vancouver and is expected to run through to early September.

* Season three (13 x 30) of Life with Derek is underway at Toronto’s Shaftesbury Films, for Family Channel and the Disney Channel.

* The four-part doc series The Protestant Revolution, for VisionTV and BBC4, has wrapped following shooting at Toronto’s Cream Productions and IWC Media of Scotland.

* Winnipeg’s Merit Motion Pictures is making a fourth season (13 x 30) of the gardening series Recreating Eden for VisionTV.
