Quebecor Fund distributes $2.27M across eight projects

Property Brothers and Code Max were among the productions to receive funding.

shutterstock_tv_moneyThe Quebecor Fund has named the recipients in its latest round of financing, with La Voix and Code Max among those to receive funding through the Main Television Production Assistance Program (MPAP) stream.

Eight productions received funding for their TV and digital components following the October 1, 2015 submission deadline, sharing a total of $2,271,560.

These included season five of Dans l’œil du dragon (ICI Radio-Canada), the Quebec adaptation of Dragons’ Den from Attraction Images Productions, season four of La Voix (TVA) from Productions Déferlantes, and the second season of Code Max (ICI Radio-Canada) from Pixcom Productions.

Elsewhere, season six of Property Brothers (W Network) from Cineflix Media, the new season of Subito texto (Télé-Québec and TFO) from Zone3, season five of Le Tricheur (TVA) from TVA Productions, season nine of C’est juste de la télé (ARTV) from Urbania TV, and Piment Fort (TVA) from Avanti Ciné Vidéo also received funding.

The next deadline for the MPAP funding stream is April 1, 2016.
