Newton Landry Management opens Sudbury office

Newton Landry Management Inc. has opened an office in Sudbury following an announcement from the Ontario government it would be investing $12.8 million into the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.

The move marks the company’s expansion into the Northern Ontario market after 15 years of operation. The office will be headed up by Matthew J. Guthrie, who will serve as the regional manager and a talent agent.

The agency also announced Monday Raymond Theart had returned to the head office in Toronto as a senior associate agent. Newton Landry Management is co-owned by Sandie Newton and Yanick Landry.

The provincial funding, announced Friday, included a $42,968 investment in MAS Acting Studios to develop a training facility for film, television and voice actors. Other infrastructure investments included $694,000 for Cultural Industries Ontario North and $650,000 in funding for upgrades at the Northern Ontario Film Studios.
